Product Details
Handwoven Character
Alba is handwoven from 100% natural ramie, with irregular slubs and knots that give the surface depth and texture. Subtle variations in the yarn and weave make each shade slightly different.
The shade raises from the bottom into neat Roman folds. A built-in valance gives the top a clean, finished appearance.
Three Neutral Shades
- Linen: A warm neutral between beige and off-white, with a natural look that pairs easily with warm woods and linen upholstery.
- Beige White: Slightly warmer and deeper than Ivory White, adding a subtle beige tone to soften a cool white interior.
- Ivory White: The lightest of the three, with a faint creamy cast rather than a bright white finish.

Each shade is custom-made to your window dimensions, with options to tailor its appearance and operation to your space.

- Mount Type: Choose inside mount for a tailored look within the window frame, or outside mount for broader coverage.
- Light Control: Select an unlined weave, privacy lining, or blackout lining to suit your room.

- Lift System: Choose Cordless, Corded, or Motorization. See Specifications for configuration details.
Specifications
Shade Style
- Standard Roman: Raises from the bottom into neat folds.
Lift System Options
- Cordless: A clean, cord-free design operated using the bottom rail. Best suited to windows where the bottom rail remains within comfortable reach.
- Corded: Offers smooth control for taller or hard-to-reach windows. A no-drill mounting bracket is included for Corded shades 18–50″ wide.
- Motorization: Adjust the shade at the touch of a button. See Additional Details for motor, controller, and charging options.
Available sizes vary by lift system. See Dimensions for size ranges.
Mounting Options
- Inside Mount: Fits within the window frame for a tailored appearance. Small side gaps allow smooth operation.
- Outside Mount: Installs above or beyond the window frame for broader coverage. Matching side covers are included to conceal the ends of the operating mechanism.
See Dimensions for mounting depth and measuring instructions.
Lining Options
- Unlined: Lets the most light pass through the natural weave, with greater visibility through the shade.
- Privacy Liner: Provides 50–75% light blockage.
- Blackout Liner: Provides 96–100% light blockage. Overall room darkening depends on mounting and coverage; light may enter around the edges.
Finishing Options
- Built-In Valance: Included for a finished appearance at the top. See Dimensions for valance heights.
- Optional Edge Binding: Creates a defined border and helps reduce fraying along the woven edges.
Dimensions
Size Ranges by Configuration
- Standard Roman — Cordless: Width 15–96″ × Height 14–96″.
- Standard Roman — Corded: Width 15–96″ × Height 14–96″.
- Standard Roman — Motorization: Width 23–94″ × Height 14–118″.
These size ranges apply to both inside and outside mounts.
Mounting Depth
- Minimum Inside-Mount Depth: 2¾″. Check your window frame depth before selecting an inside mount.
- Clearance: Allow room for handles, locks, and other hardware that could interfere with the shade’s movement.
Headrail, Bracket & Valance
- Headrail: 1⅜″ high × 2⅜″ deep. Headrail length matches the shade width.
- Mounting Bracket: 1½″ high × 1⅞″ deep.
- Built-In Valance: 6″ high for shades 18″ or taller; 4″ high for shades under 18″.
- No-Drill Bracket: Included with Corded shades 18–50″ wide. This is separate from the full Corded shade size range.
Measuring for an Inside Mount
An inside mount positions the shade within the window frame.
- Width: Measure the opening at the top, middle, and bottom. Submit the smallest width.
- Height: Measure the opening on the left, center, and right. Submit the largest height.
- Factory Deductions: Submit the actual window opening dimensions. Deductions are applied automatically; do not make your own deductions or add extra width to compensate.
Small side gaps are needed for smooth operation. Light may enter around the edges even with blackout lining.
Measuring for an Outside Mount
An outside mount positions the shade on the wall above the window or directly on the trim.
- Width: Measure the full area to cover, including trim. We recommend extending the shade 2–3″ beyond each side, adding 4–6″ in total, to help reduce side light gaps.
- Height: Measure from the chosen top mounting point to where the shade should end.
- Mounting Position: Allow space above the window for the raised folds if you want to keep more glass uncovered when the shade is open.
Submit your intended finished coverage dimensions, including overlap. Inside-mount deductions do not apply to outside-mount orders.
Measuring Tips
- Record measurements in inches. If a measurement falls between ⅛″ increments, round down for width and up for height.
- Measure every window separately, even if the openings appear identical.
- Double-check width, height, mounting method, and the selected lift system’s size limits before ordering.
Materials
Natural Ramie
The woven shade fabric is made from 100% natural ramie. This composition applies to the woven face material; lining, hardware, and operating components are separate.
Natural Texture & Variation
Irregular slubs and knots give the handwoven surface its distinctive texture. Slight differences in tone, yarn thickness, and weave are inherent to the material, so no two shades are exactly alike.
Your finished shade may differ slightly from the swatch. We recommend ordering a swatch before choosing your color and placing shades for the same room in one order to help maintain a consistent appearance.
Lining & Appearance
Lining changes how light passes through the weave and how the color appears. An unlined shade looks brighter when backlit, while blackout lining may make it appear slightly darker. See Specifications for lining options and light-blocking details.
Color Over Time
Natural fibers may gradually change in tone with age and sunlight exposure. Keep this in mind when matching new shades to those already installed.

Installation
Your shade arrives pre-assembled, with mounting hardware packed alongside it. Installation typically takes approximately 15–20 minutes, depending on the mounting surface and selected configuration.
- Position the brackets: Mark the mounting locations, keeping the brackets level.
- Secure the brackets: Follow the supplied guide for your mounting method and hardware.
- Attach the shade: Fit the shade onto the brackets as directed, then check that it is secure and operates smoothly.
For eligible Corded shades supplied with a no-drill bracket, follow that bracket’s instructions rather than the drilled installation steps. Do not cut, alter, or tamper with the lifting mechanism.
A printed installation guide is included. For a digital copy or motor and accessory assistance, contact lucohome@outlook.com.
Care Information
Cleaning & Stain Care
- Dust regularly with a soft brush or use a vacuum with a brush attachment on its lowest suction setting.
- Work gently along the weave without pressing, scrubbing, or pulling the fibers. Support the shade while cleaning.
- Do not wash, soak, steam-clean, or use a damp cloth on the woven shade.
- Gently remove loose, dry surface dirt with a soft brush. For persistent marks, consult a professional cleaner experienced with natural woven window shades before attempting treatment.
Protecting the Weave
- Do not use bleach, ammonia, solvents, or cleaning sprays.
- Avoid sharply bending, crushing, or forcing creases into the woven material.
- Do not pull loose surface fibers. Carefully trim only clearly loose ends, keeping clear of operating cords and structural threads.
Operating Your Shade
- Cordless: Gently raise or lower the bottom rail with both hands, keeping it level. Hold the rail rather than pulling on the woven surface.
- Corded: Use the operating cord. Follow the supplied instructions for securing and using it.
- Motorized: Use the selected remote or smart-home controls. Do not force the shade up or down by hand.
- For all systems: Keep the shade’s path clear. If it becomes uneven or difficult to operate, stop and check the supplied instructions rather than forcing it.
Moisture & Sunlight
Use the shade in a well-ventilated indoor space and avoid prolonged exposure to damp conditions, condensation, or splashing water. Natural fibers may gradually change in tone with age and sunlight exposure. See Materials for natural variation details.
If the mechanism jams, the shade becomes damaged, or you are unsure how to clean it, contact lucohome@outlook.com before attempting repairs. Do not dismantle or modify the lifting mechanism.
