Handwoven Character
Woven by hand from 100% natural ramie, Nara features irregular slubs and knots that give the surface its distinctive texture. These natural variations make every shade slightly different, with a depth and character a machine weave cannot reproduce.
The shade rises into neat Roman folds, while a built-in valance gives the top a clean, finished look.
A Rich Choice of Colors
Available in 11 colors, Nara offers a varied palette to complement your room’s furnishings and finishes. Order a swatch to explore the color and handwoven texture in your own space.

- Light Control: Select an unlined weave, privacy lining, or blackout lining to suit your room.

Specifications
Shade Style
- Standard Roman: Raises from the bottom into neat folds.
Lift System Options
- Cordless: A clean, cord-free design. Gently raise or lower the bottom rail to adjust the shade. Best suited to windows where the bottom rail remains within comfortable reach.
- Corded: Raise and lower the shade using a pull cord. Choose left- or right-side cord placement to suit your window and preferred reach.
- Motorization: Adjust the shade at the touch of a button for convenient operation and a clean, cord-free look. See Additional Details for motor, controller, and charging options.
Available sizes vary by lift system. See Dimensions for size ranges.
Mounting Options
- Inside Mount: Fits within the window frame for a clean, tailored appearance. Small side gaps allow the shade to operate smoothly.
- Outside Mount: Installs above or beyond the window frame for broader coverage. Matching side covers are included to conceal the ends of the operating mechanism.
See Dimensions for mounting depth requirements and measuring instructions.
Lining Options
- Unlined: Lets the most light pass through the natural weave, with greater visibility through the shade.
- Privacy Liner: Provides 50–75% light blockage to soften incoming light.
- Blackout Liner: Provides 96–100% light blockage for greater room darkening. Overall light control also depends on mounting method and coverage, as light may enter around the edges.
Finishing Options
- Built-In Valance: Included for a clean, finished appearance at the top of the shade. See Dimensions for valance heights.
- Optional Edge Binding: Creates a defined border and helps reduce fraying along the woven edges.
Dimensions
Size Ranges by Configuration
- Standard Roman — Cordless: Width 15–96″ × Height 14–96″.
- Standard Roman — Corded: Width 15–96″ × Height 14–96″.
- Standard Roman — Motorized: Width 23–94″ × Height 14–118″.
These size ranges apply to both inside and outside mounts.
Mounting Depth
- Minimum Inside-Mount Depth: 2¾″. Check your window frame depth before selecting an inside mount.
- Clearance: Allow room for handles, locks, and other projecting hardware that could interfere with the shade’s movement.
Headrail, Bracket & Valance
- Headrail: 1⅜″ high × 2⅜″ deep. Headrail length matches the shade width.
- Mounting Bracket: 1½″ high × 1⅞″ deep.
- Built-In Valance: 6″ high for shades 18″ or taller; 4″ high for shades under 18″.
- No-Drill Bracket: Included with Corded shades 18–50″ wide. This bracket eligibility range is separate from the full Corded shade size range.
Measuring for an Inside Mount
An inside mount positions the shade within the window frame.
- Width: Measure the inside opening at the top, middle, and bottom. Submit the smallest width.
- Height: Measure the inside opening on the left, center, and right. Submit the largest height.
- Factory Deductions: Submit the actual window opening dimensions. Deductions are applied automatically; do not make your own deductions or add extra width to compensate.
- Depth: Confirm that the window frame meets the minimum inside-mount depth of 2¾″.
Small gaps at the sides are needed for smooth operation. Inside-mounted shades may allow light to enter around the edges, even with blackout lining.
Measuring for an Outside Mount
An outside mount positions the shade on the wall above the window or directly on the trim.
- Width: Measure the full window area you want to cover, including any trim. We recommend extending the shade 2–3″ beyond each side, adding 4–6″ in total, to help reduce side light gaps.
- Height: Measure from your chosen top mounting point to where you want the shade to end.
- Mounting Position: Allow space above the window for the raised folds if you want to keep more of the glass uncovered when the shade is open.
- Clearance: Account for projecting handles, locks, and other obstructions.
Submit your intended finished coverage dimensions, including any overlap. Inside-mount deductions do not apply to outside-mount orders.
Measuring Tips
- Record all measurements in inches.
- If a measurement falls between ⅛″ increments, round down to the next ⅛″ for width and up to the next ⅛″ for height.
- Measure every window separately, even if the openings appear identical.
- Double-check the width, height, mounting method, and selected configuration’s size limits before placing your order.
Materials
Natural Ramie
The woven shade fabric is made from 100% natural ramie. This composition applies to the woven face material; lining, hardware, and operating components are separate.
Natural Texture & Variation
Irregular slubs and knots are part of ramie yarn’s distinctive character. Handweaving highlights these details, creating a textured surface with subtle variations from shade to shade.
Slight differences in color, yarn thickness, and weave are inherent to the material. No two shades are exactly alike, and the finished shade may vary slightly from your swatch.
We recommend ordering a swatch before choosing your color and placing shades for the same room in one order to help maintain a more consistent appearance.
Lining & Appearance
Lining affects how light passes through the weave and how the shade’s color appears. An unlined shade looks brighter when backlit, while blackout lining may give the material a slightly darker appearance.
See Specifications for lining options and light-blocking details.
Color Over Time
Natural ramie may gradually change in tone with age and sunlight exposure. Keep this in mind when matching new shades to those already installed.

- Position the brackets: Mark the mounting locations, keeping the brackets level.
- Secure the brackets: Follow the supplied installation guide for your mounting method and hardware.
- Attach the shade: Fit the shade onto the brackets as directed, then check that it is secure and operates smoothly.
For eligible Corded shades supplied with a no-drill bracket, follow the instructions for that bracket rather than the drilled installation steps.
Do not cut, alter, or tamper with the lifting mechanism.

Care Information
Cleaning & Stain Care
- Dust regularly with a soft brush or use a vacuum with a brush attachment on its lowest suction setting.
- Work gently along the weave without pressing, scrubbing, or pulling the fibers.
- Support the shade while cleaning to avoid placing strain on the woven material.
- Do not wash, soak, steam-clean, or use a damp cloth on the woven shade.
- Gently remove loose, dry surface dirt with a soft brush.
- For persistent marks or stains, consult a professional cleaner experienced with natural woven window shades before attempting treatment.
Protecting the Weave
- Do not use bleach, ammonia, solvents, or cleaning sprays.
- Avoid sharply bending, crushing, or forcing creases into the woven material.
- Do not pull loose surface fibers. Carefully trim only clearly loose ends, keeping clear of operating cords and structural threads.
Operating Your Shade
- Cordless: Gently raise or lower the bottom rail with both hands, keeping it level. Hold the rail rather than pulling on the woven surface.
- Corded: Use the operating cord to raise and lower the shade. Follow the supplied instructions for securing and using the cord.
- Motorized: Use the selected remote or smart-home controls. Do not force the shade up or down by hand.
- For all systems: Keep the shade’s path clear of handles, furniture, and other obstructions. If the shade becomes uneven or difficult to operate, stop and check the supplied instructions rather than forcing it.
Moisture & Sunlight
Natural ramie can be affected by moisture. Use the shade in a well-ventilated indoor space and avoid prolonged exposure to damp conditions, condensation, or splashing water.
Color may gradually change with age and sunlight exposure. See Materials for more information about natural variations.
If the lifting mechanism jams, the shade becomes damaged, or you are unsure how to clean it, contact lucohome@outlook.com before attempting repairs. Do not dismantle or modify the lifting mechanism.
